Ceci H. Lee
I’m Hwawon Lee, but you can call me Ceci—my easier-to-pronounce name.
I work across journalism, videography, and photography, which I like to call visual journalism. I also take on commercial art projects, including contemporary choreography and independent films.
I specialize in high-quality, low-budget production, dedicated to telling the stories of those who want their voices heard. My work is driven by a passion for in-depth storytelling, using my expertise in video production to identify what visually resonates with audiences and applying those insights to journalism.
Through my projects, I aim to bridge cultural gaps and share compelling stories from South Korea and across Asia with a global audience, highlighting the diverse and often overlooked aspects of our world. While I may be smaller and less physically imposing than some of my peers, I focus on the details and different perspective to ensure a unique and impactful narrative.
